I really love dryads, okay? <3 I’m pretty obsessed with faeries and the fey world. Here’s a good playlist for when you’re drawing the fey, which in my opinion should be often. These guys are all designs for my story, Sprout. The smaller dryads are not particularly intelligent. Er, come to think of it, the larger ones aren’t very clever either - with the exception of Potato Dryad. She’s pretty sharp!

So that was my super busy week with no internet.

It was like a mini summer vacation.  My gelfling won’t be home until Sunday night and though I miss her, I’m very grateful.  I need to recover.  I haven’t stayed up so late at night actually doing things other than playing games or watching tv for this many nights in a row since my 20s.

Wednesday we didn’t get home til 1

Friday didn’t get home till 1:30

Saturday it was more like 2

And then Sunday we got home at 1:30 again.

I am tired.

I got a bunch of pictures from Alex’s camera from the Robonica party but i’ll just add those to the queue for later.

Oh yes… And I forgot to mention

MASUIMI MAX CAME AND SAT IN THE VIP SECTION!!!!!!!  She was there with her photographer hubby to see the Dwarves.

She was absolutely adorable and was kind enough to pose for some pictures with me.  I totally fangirled all over her.  And she didn’t make me feel awkward or stupid.

She was just genuinely nice and made me feel like she was happy to see me. And then she gave me a magnet version of one of her photos.  I’m still shrieking on the inside with delirious glee.

Then Sunday night we went to LA to see the show at the Roxy.

 HOLY CRAP IT WAS AMAZINGGGGGG

When we got the tickets they were holding for us at will call they gave us a blue bracelet.  But when we actually went into the Roxy we got another grey bracelet.  I was confused.  Turns out the blue bracelet was for the VIP area.  That had CHAIRS.  CUSHY CHAIRS.  One of the most disappointing parts of getting older for me has been my lack of stamina at live shows.  I used to be able to bounce around on my feet for 8 hours in my youth and still leave the venue dancing, but not any more.  My back is usually killing me by the time it’s over and I have to hobble like a crone for a few days.  Thanks to Joe (magnificent human that he is)  I actually got to enjoy all the opening bands and still have energy to dance when the Queers took the stage.  AND THEN  FREAKING RICHIE RAMONE CAME ONSTAGE AND DID A SET AS A TRIBUTE TO TOMMY.  It was amazing.  That man is about 80% leg.  Seriously it was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.

Elvis?! Karaoke in Fountain Valley.  I LOVE THIS PLACE.  It’s booth style just like in Japan.  I have had so many fantastic nights of drunken singing there.
